It’s finally REAL at Quezon

The real plan is to go somewhere else, but it seems that
this can’t wait any longer, so now a weekend in REAL became real.

The objective is to get stoked at all the surfing spots in
the Philippines, eventually, maybe, hopefully and in God’s will – Asia. Eventually, maybe, hopefully and in God’s
will again - Hawai, Australia and anywhere else possible.
But for now, I set my mind and foot at the magnificent waves of
Real, Quezon. This surf spot is one of
the nearest spots in Metro Manila, only 3 hours away by private car or traverse
the winding road via public bus or van for 4 hours.

While you cannot stay under the sun on the beach the whole
time, Real offers an alternative site to cool off, immerse at the frozen water
of Balabag waterfalls located just few kilometers from Magra Beach.
The three layer waterfalls are a sure break from the heat as
it is hidden beneath the unexplored mountains of Quezon.

Note: If you are planning to visit the falls, make an
arrangement with a tricycle driver to pick you up at the resort on a specific
time and pay only 100.00 one way or 200.00 if you want the driver to wait and
bring you back at the resort because there is no regular traffic in the
area. There is also an entrance fee of
20.00 for adult and 10.00 for kid.
Transportation
Raymond Bus in Sampaloc, Manila (near Nagtahan) leaves every
hour round the clock, aircon busses charge 195.00/way and regular bus charge
125.00/way. Tell the bus conductor to drop
you off at Tignoan bridge and take a 1 kilometer ride via tricycle to the resort
for 80.00.
